soo-lorettoIt was 1990 when a small group of community leaders, spearheaded by 1946 Sault High alumnus Demosthenes (Denny) Booth, gathered to talk about ways to help future Sault High graduates in their pursuit of a college education.

For more than 30 years, the scholarship endowment has had ta tremendous impact on Sault High graduates attending LSSU. This is due to the generosity of Sault High and Loretto High School alumni.

The scholarship’s annual campaign also offers a unique way to honor a friend, favorite teacher, or family member. A single contribution or accumulated contributions of $250 or more entitles you to designate a name to be placed on the Sault/Loretto High School Wall of Honor virtual plaque. Today there are more than 380 individuals and graduating classes featured on the recognition plaque.

Accumulated contributions of $5,000 or more will create an annual perpetual scholarship. The names perpetual scholarships are placed on the Wall of Honor plaque and presented to deserving seniors at the Sault Area High School Academic Awards program.

Visit our Virtual Wall of Honor to see those who have been recognized and those who have named perpetual scholarships at advancement.lssu.edu/virtual-wall.

With your gift, you can help the talented and determined Sault High graduates reach their education and career goals. By supporting the Sault/Loretto High School Scholarship, you not only offer a special way to remember your high school and hometown but also provide an educational investment that will benefit a lifetime.
