Celebrating Lake Superior State University and the Sault Ste. Marie Community

What is The Campus and Community Partnership Fund?

In a significant effort to strengthen the connection between Lake Superior State University (LSSU) and the Sault Ste. Marie community, LSSU President Dr. David Travis has spearheaded the creation of the Campus and Community Partnership Fund with an annual personal gift of $10,000.

This fund is designed to support collaborative projects that strengthen the bond between the university and the city. In collaboration LSSU and the City of Sault Ste. Marie, used the first allocation of the fund to hang LSSU flags throughout the downtown area from late July through October. The flags symbolize the unity and shared spirit between the campus and the community. They stand as a visible reminder of the ongoing partnership and mutual support that define the relationship between the university and the city.
