This endowed scholarship was established by Sherilyn Duesing, LSSU Professor Emeritus, in memory of her mother who passed away in May 2009. Crystal was a lifelong resident of Alanson, Mich. who worked in the Littlefield Public Schools for many years. She was a very independent and resourceful woman, who understood that many students require financial assistance in order to pursue their dream of a college education. Preference is given to students who demonstrate volunteer involvement and leadership skills.
